As a Kindergarten teacher lightyears ahead of her time, Betty insisted that her classroom open into a garden and be equipped with a built-in oven for baking bread. She taught in tune with the rhythms of nature, and with an understanding of the vital place that music, beauty and play hold in a child’s life.
